寻找前世之旅 Journey to Seek Past Reincarnations (The Journey) – Vivibear

a11c5aafa40f4bfb0eb5720b014f78f0f7361822

Buddha scripture says that the fruit of your present life is the result of seed planted in your past life. Karma is something which one cannot change.  However, you may be able to travel through time and space to find the root in order to defuse the catastrophe of your current life. All you have to pay is only———a tear.  Ye Yin was adopted at a young age by a mysterious master. She is well versed in necromancy.  She shuttles repeatedly across different countries and different time frames to help others to resolve the regrets in their past lives . So, will she be able to resolve her own regrets? Did she lost her love in one of the time zones?

Warning: This is a very long book with 274 chapters:(

No, no, I am not going to start listening to this book as I don’t have time:( Actually, I’ve been interested in this book for quite sometime. I am posting it now to beat Chancy from posting the only other latest book I am interested to listen from my Bu gege:P Eventually, I’ll definitely listen to this book:)

Bu-gege! I tried this novel when the audiobook first released. It’s a very interesting time traveler different from other kinds, she travels back in time with others or by herself to help resolve regrets of the past lives. Pretty interesting. The only thing is, vivibear copied so many books from like 26 authors, a total of 500 times founded in this novel alone (I think it was this one, I’m not sure, but it’s definitely Vivibear). It’s still a highly rated novel though.

The concept, I really like, but tsk tsk… if vivibear really plagarizes, that’s really bad.

This kind of ‘mending regrets’ plot kind of reminds me of TQ’s Hua Xu Yin in which Ah Fu helps some people to resolve their regrets through dreams, but if they choose to stay in the illusion she gets to take their life into her Jiao Bead.

I think it is a good idea to copy good storylines from all the good novels:P It is such a waste if the good stuff don’t get recycled, haha..However, don’t copy blindly words for words. Fine tune it, mix & match, change a bit here & there, improve the deficiency, incorporate some of your own ideas etc. Chong Zi & Qiang Gu have fairly similar plots yet they are quite different as well.

She probably copied the concept from HXY but put a twist to it in that there is no Jiao Bead to take your life. Thus, I’ll definitely give her book a try after I listen to more novels so that I’ll be able to spot which 26 authors she copied from, haha..

I tried a little of this yesterday and it’s pretty interesting, I’m not very use to the guy’s long name in this novel though. If anyone has read this novel b4, can clue in on where the main guy is from? It seems like he turned into a vampire to wait for her or something according to the intro.

Hey, you are not supposed to start anything new until you finished your Chong Zi:P This is a long book so you better stay away from it until you’ve time. Yah, I also read the vampire bit & need some clarification. I don’t fancy vampire male lead:(

No, I’m just testing it to see what I’ll read after Chong Zi. I seriously need a dice. I get 2 eps a day, but I’ve started on Crazy Love today. Pretty cute, u know the Persian story about a king that doesn’t trust woman and he only keeps each wife for 1 day and than he kills them in the morning? Than there’s a very good storytelling woman who married into his harem. She tells him a story each night and keeps him addicted wanting to hear the next one. Something like 1001 night or something. The main guy is grim reaper who comes every morning to take away the soul of the woman that the king kills each morning. It’s very interesting.

You want me to post that novel up as I finished chapter 1 few weeks ago & drafted the post? Very short book. The guy reader is the creep in Chatters, lol. Thus he fits the role perfectly. Aren’t you reading Who Rules the World after Chongzhi? I always picture C gege as Cheng Zheng in XYW’s You are still Here. Will be great if cxt8 read that book with Cgege, lol.

I want to read You are still Here, it seems like it’s my style, but I barely have time for audiobooks and it’s not like I have a solid book in front of me. No spare time to read an Ebook. Hopefully it’ll get read. Yah……post it up. That guy reader is very grim reaper like, I think both of them fits the story very well. I tried C-gege’s new book. The girl reader needs a little time getting accustomed too, I found out why I couldn’t read through her other 2 books. She sounds like an almost auntie (almost 40? heeeehe)

This book is pretty addicting. I like it when i know the characters that show up. Like The mention that one guy was once huo qu bing.

I think the main guy is qin shi huang and the vampires part connects to the person’s obsession to find the immortality medicine.

Really like the girl reader’s voice in here.

Wah you’ve changed your affection from C to B gege:P Btw, I read there is a sequel to the audio book but they are not gonna record it. So, does the audio book has an ending? Also, this audio book is really long. I wait until you listen to more than 50 chapters b4 I decide if I wanna listen. Although I don’t like all the controversy surrounding this author, I wanna give it a try & see how good or bad she is. Also, to support Bu gege:) But I don’t want to ship the wrong guy so you know who she gonna end up with?

Aye~ this is sooo good. The main guy shows up in the third story. I just finished story 4. Have to say the guys that show up gets better and better. Mr. Pharoh from story 4 is so swoon worthy. Haha. Vampy is not bad either in story 3, but im so smitten with the Pharoh as for now. She should be going to Arab next. This is sooo weird, but it has its reason for high rating and plus she borrowed from 20 some authors.

haha trying not to be reminded that vivibear has this plagiarism issue. The story by itself is pretty addicting though. So many guys, I really feel sorry for all of them because she always has to leave at the end. The 5th story is a disappointment because 1-4 were so awesome, and then BAM the guy inside 5 is making me want to vomit because he’s so horrible. It reminds me of the guy inside Cang Yue’s Wildflowers. Don’t read this at night either, the cases get creepier and creepier lol

I am having doubts on this book as I don’t like book with plenty of guys so ‘flower heart’, lol. I like 1 guy, 1 gal, loyal fr beginning till the end, haha….At most, I can stomach a rival. Since both of you said it is good, I’ll download 10 chapters & try tomorrow.

That’s the problem I have with this story. I really dread each little story that pops up because there will be a guy that will fall inlove with her and all she’ll feel for them is guilt for not being able to return their feeling. Even if she falls in love with them she can’t stay in that time period because she will disappear and never be reincarnated. I honestly don’t feel anything for the OTP yet and I’m like 60-70% in at least. I definitely prefer Hua Xu Yin much better, but I’ll wait until the end to give my final input.

I don’t recommend reading this at night, there’s like 2 stories that are scary.

Wah Chancy, you are listening so fast as this book has more than 100 chapters. You are truly a Bu gege’s fan, lol. I saw your ‘get well soon’ msg to him:) Hey, can you ask him to read some nicer books bcos so far I don’t like any of his books. I don’t want to complain but his nice voice is wasted on average books:(

I think HXY is better bcos all the guys she met didn’t fall in love with her & the sub stories are touching. The sadness of the sub stories exemplify & enhance the OTP’s main story, sob sob……Don’t think I wanna listen to this book unless I am jobless, lol…

  17. raini
    raini October 17, 2012 at 4:46 pm |

I lost count how many stories already. The main girl feels very fatigued by her jobs, I think that’s relatable at least. Unlike HXY, Ah Fu was only bystander and the events already happened so she was like a ghost in the passing. I realize I like HXY better too even though not at the end yet. It is heavy, yes, but doesn’t make you feel like putting it down. Ye Ying’s doomed lovelines with all these guys make me want to hide. I don’t like that they make the main guy MIA so much too, because each new story washes out my feelings grown for him. The main guy appears in story #3, but by #4 my heart is already swayed by the new guy who’s story we know is already ended when she returns to the modern world. I think I felt the strongest for the guy in #4 though, I actually cried a bit when she went to the museum and some old man read what was inscribed in the bracelet he gave her.

My biggest issue, Ye Ying is so unrealistically magnet and she’s a big flower-hearted carrot for sure =P
The time-traveling strangely doesn’t bother me in the least. I’m loving this kind of time-traveling situation because it’s not a random start to a story like all the other time-travels out there. Also the cases, like in HXY, I really love those despite they’re giving me fatigue. Always loved those historical dramas with cases like Judge Bao Qing Tian. Actually wish there is more stories like this. But I don’t want to read the sequels to this book. I think one is enough.

  18. chancy426
    chancy426 October 17, 2012 at 5:53 pm |

haha I want him to read better books too. Maybe he has problem with saying no, that’s why he has so many books out there. I would be drifted to cloud 9 if he works with A Shou or SiLuMinYin. Not like in Who Gets the World where she’s only the 2nd female though. Like playing OTP, I want that. ^____^

I’m very impressed with his performance in this novel, it’s a crazy stretch. One of the minor characters in here laughs like a weirdo. One of those “ohhohoho” laugh where the guy is covering his mouth to appear more polite but at same time it looks very cringy and sounds cringy. lol

I really like this girl reader so I’m going to read her 烧错坟遇到鬼 next. The guy reader sounds very nice there too and the guy character is a playful ghost. Happy ending. He’s been a ghost for several hundred years and he brings her back to his time period. The majority of the beginning 10% is in the modern world though. I think I’ll like that story more because it doesn’t have much distraction by little cases.

Chancy, would you recommend this book? I was drawn to it because of its similarities with HXY, but after reading your comments now, I’m not so sure… Too busy with school these days to keep up with you girls, but I’m content just reading all the comments!

Also, do any of you guys how to send messages to the readers? I tried leaving a message on SLMY’s blog page (because she used a background music piece that was so beautiful in Kill Three Thousand Crows that I wanted to ask her what it was so I can play it on loop) but then it said my message was over 140 characters, which it clearly was not.

    @atsu
There’s good & bad about this story. It’s definitely addicting read, but if you are the type that must have lots of OTP action, than it’s not going to satisfy that craving. Like me right now, I’m really suffering from the lack of OTP time lol
The individual cases are very nice and very variety. It’s a really fun read if you enjoy the cases inside HXY, just the girl is a lot more involved and she gets so traumatized every time she completes a case because she leaves too much attachment behind.

You can check the comments on the cxt8 page of Three Thousand Crow Kill, usually there’s others asking for songs. It’s a song right, not an instrumental? If it’s instrumental, then you definitely have to get in touch with Si Lu Min Yin herself xP

Try typing the message character by character without copy pasting any outside text. I noticed that’s usually what prevents me from posting a message to the readers and I’ll get that same error message about typing too long of a message.

I actually think the stories inside this book are more meaningful. Its about fixing mess ups in your previous lives that causes ur misfortunes in this lifetime. Even though i don’t believe this stuff. The author does a good job keeping the bigger picture from us and only giving little hints until way back towards the end.

Overall, im enjoying it. But totally need some real romance novel to balance it after i finish reading this.

It just sort of happened and without more feeling from him I really wasn’t feeling the characters. But I do want to finish up though. I’ve started lots of things lately but just haven’t seen any of them through which is SO bad!

So, the story has a proper ending? I read there is a sequel which the readers are not gonna read yet or never. Btw, the 2 new books on cxt8 are not my cup of tea:( The ghost one looks even more scary than C gege’s one. if you don’t mind foreign guys it’s pretty good. I’d have to say my favorite guy in here was Latasi the Egyptian Pharaoh. The third story is the vamp one right? I recommend you finish the fourth one and then drop xP That one imo is the best. The only one I shed any tears at all for. After that story, the main girl starts dreading the time travelling. Of course Chong Zi is better!! I don’t think this one is horrible, but Chong Zi is so much better in terms of flow and richness. You know the song that the reader use as the start of every chapter? I listen to it in the car haha, it’s not helping me get over Chong Zi at all T_T but can’t help, just have to download whatever ost that can be found just for mulling over the amazingness of the books!!!

异时空情恋清水漪澜 time travel. modern girl likes her foster brother, but he got married and she ran away from home and end up falling off a cliff and time travels. too long.
凡女仙葫 time traveling girl gets stuck in a little girl’s body. gets found by her uncle and brought back to their family of people that are cultivating to become family. very long.
极品公子 never read. who is reader?
宝珠鬼话 i am saving this for when i have nothing good to read.
午门囧事 i stopped at the first guy. it eas weird that the girl and Duan 王爷 both have meat fetish. obsessed over 红烧肉。 it was kinda awkward i dont find it as funny as many lead it on to be. ill give it another chance.
脱骨香 vamp girl selling wholesale blood in an adult store.

午门囧事 is the one where the 97 demigod song came in? It sounds like those crack time travel novels rather than the serious ones like bbjx. The one we are reading right now is like bbjx vibes, post it up!

Spider we had a sampling of his voice from Went to the Wrong Grave, Met a Ghost. I don’t really like hehe. Too spoiled by C-gege and Abu’s voices

寡人有疾 if very good. Chancy is right, it’s like Hua Xu Yin starts out really funny but towards the end can be tear-jerking
